  • Pay Range - $30 to $35/hr.
Work Schedule:
  • Shifts: Various schedules, including weekends, will be determined during orientation.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises a team of security guards that ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. 
  • Schedules security guard staff shifts. 
  • Assigns guards to patrol and inspect of buildings and grounds.
  • Ensures protection from intruders, fire hazards, theft, and vandalism. 
  • Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. 
  • Ensures that all security events are logged, documented, and reported using standard procedures. 
  • Trains staff on policies and procedures for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. 
  • Updates team on local, state, provincial, or federal security-related information, directives, and events. 
  • Assists with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials. 
  • Typically reports to a manager.
  • Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. 
  • Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. 
  • Reports to Program Director weekly on any recommendations and changes to be made.

Qualifications:  

  • Must have 3 to 5 years of related Unarmed security guard or asset protection experience. 
  • Must possess a valid and active Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) unarmed license OR ability to obtain the unarmed security guard license prior to employment.
  • Requires an active Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certifications.
  • Understands law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. 
  • Thorough knowledge of the team processes.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. 

Education: 

  • Requires an Associate's degree in area of specialty or relevant field. Additional 3 years of experience (HS Diploma and 4  to 6 years of experience) can be used in lieu of education.

Travel Requirements:  

This position will involve no travel.
