Salary Range: $24.96/hr. - $33.38/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include reviewing requisitions for accuracy and completeness, prepare purchase orders in Workday, communicates with personnel, vendors, and the general public to ascertain requisition and purchase order status and answers questions/inquiries.
  • Process bidding documents including Invitation for bid (IFB) and Request for Proposal (RFP); Research and determine competitive specifications, scope of services, appropriate terms and conditions and bid sheets.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate working relationship with departments and vendors.
  • Coordinate document review with Legal department and Risk Management to ensure compliance with statutes, policies, and procedures of Federal, State and Local entities.
  • Work continuously with staff to improve procurement methods and purchasing procedures; closely with all user departments equipment and services, reviews requirements to assure appropriate process is completed, prepare IFB bids and Requests for proposals for publication and mailing of solicitation notices to.

Qualifications:  

  • A CPPB or CPPO professional certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of preparing specifications, Requests for Proposals (RFP), Bids, Quotes, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. 

Education: 

  • High School Diploma or GED, training in public procurement, and one year of procurement experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the duties of this position.
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration is preferred.

Travel Requirements:  

This position will involve no travel.
