Salary Range: $29.87/hr. - $40.77/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • The Environmental Compliance Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing the Air Quality Program (AQP) within the Environmental Health Division.
  • This role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties: supervising staff; interviewing and selecting employees; ensuring appropriate training of staff; planning, prioritizing, and budgeting for the AQP; supervising the implementation of special projects; providing oversight and guidance to staff conducting routine field work and inspections.
  • This position requires knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations and policies with respect to air quality as well as knowledge of supervisory principles.
  • This is a public facing position that will represent the AQP and public health department at relevant community, public and/or commission meetings and will address air quality related community concerns from residents and stakeholders.
  • This position also requires presenting and/or sending reports internally at the Health Department and throughout the Client, and/or externally at the community at-large.

Qualifications:  

  • Three years of environmental compliance or pre-treatment inspections experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, Community Health, Public health, Engineering or related field.

Travel Requirements:  

This position will involve no travel.
