Under general supervision, the Laborer works with and performs the same work as that of the "C" classification, internally. The Laborer performs other similar and related work within their classification.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company vehicle and be responsible for inventory, maintenance and safe operation.
- Perform minor painting, cleaning of vehicles, and janitorial duties.
- Maintain a commercial driver’s license as required by the company.
- Comply with standard safety precautions necessary to ensure safety of others and prevent lost-time accidents.
- May be required to work in another department as needed.
- Operation and minor maintenance of power equipment for lawn care and snow removal.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Written and oral communication skills, in addition to a customer service orientation.
- Possess valid driver’s license as determined by the Client.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to write legibly; operate a personal computer satisfactorily.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Candidate must possess the necessary physical abilities to perform the various job duties. Must be able to walk at least 10 miles per day in all types of weather conditions. Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend, crawl, kneel, walk, climb, push, pull, lift and carry 20-50 lbs., twist, reach above and below shoulder levels, fine finger movements. Must be able to work in climates of extreme cold / extreme heat. Potential exposure to stinging insects / insecticides and possible requirement to be in Respirator Program.
