Responsibilities:

• The Public Works Department is seeking a Geographic Information Systems/Data Analytics specialist for the Engineering Team. This position will coordinate closely with the Asset Management Team to utilize GIS, specifically ESRI, as well as other software such as Lucity, Accella, AutoCAD, etc. to analyze, document, and map stormwater, street, and sewer assets throughout the city.
• Duties include a wide variety of technical work including developing and producing graphic, digital and printed materials that are associated with analyzing and representing GIS, enhance, expand, and maintain the GIS as it relates to both office and field engineering of the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of public and private facilities.
• Configures and performs work that includes creating and editing data sets, maps and GIS web mapping.
• This includes but is not limited to, the database; entry of point, line and polygon attribute information, Global Positioning System (GPS) data collection field work.
• Considerable tact and courtesy are required in frequent contact with developers; contractors; consultants; city staff and the public.

Qualifications:  

• One year of related program experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
• Valid Driver's License. 
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. 

Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
