Responsibilities:

• Operates dump truck, weed eater, chainsaw and other hand tools.
• Assists in the repair of roads and culverts.
• Assists in winter weather operations, sign repair and replacement. Responsible to place barricades and signs at designated locations.
• Assists in emergency storm operations and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:  

• High School Diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.
• Must have valid Driver's License and automobile insurance.
• CDL preferred at the time of application or must obtain within six months of date of hire.
• Knowledge of Kansas City, KS streets is preferred.
• Must have the ability to operate two-way radio, stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, carry, and drag objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work with exposure to noise.
• Ability to analyze work conditions, recognize safety hazards and correctly respond.
• Ability to work independently, in teams, and carry out assignments through oral and written instructions.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. 

Education: 

• High School Diploma or GED
